Technical support mission to Ukraine on disability, rehabilitation and assistive technology

Overview
Since the large-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, which began in February 2022, the need for rehabilitation and assistive technology has arguably never been greater, while WHO has a duty to protect the most vulnerable, including persons with disabilities. As WHO has been supporting Ukraine in development of its rehabilitation services for a number of years, it was able to respond immediately.
A technical mission was undertaken in July 2022 to assess the situation and requirements for rehabilitation and assistive technology, including for people with disabilities. This report summarizes the findings and action points from the mission to contribute to and support a collaborative, effective, inclusive response.
